If you are a starter

If you are a starter you might know one or two things about sewing or you might know nothing about it. When sewing, there are many kinds of stitches, needles and threads. Depending on the fabric, you will need to use a different kind of stitch. Some stitches are:

– back stitch / \ / \ / \ / \ / \ / \ / \ / \

There are two ways in which you could do these stitches. You can hand stitch and you can machine stitch. Hand stitching will possibly be the most time consuming, but the sewing machine needs to be mastered first and you have to practice like any other thing.

If the material you are working on is very "stringy" it will be harder to work with because it might get in the way of the sewing and it might fall apart easily too. So you might want to use something like felt when you are starting off. Start easy and don't stress yourself as soon as you start.
