In this project you will need: printable which can be found below the text, needle, felt x3, thread or you could use a sewing machine.
Printable: beret
Grab the printable and cut it out to the black line. Yellow line if is a child.
Place the printable on the border of the piece of felt which should be placed horizontally.
Remember that you want to fit 3 of these printables ,which look like petals, on two pieces of felt unless you want to place each in separate piece of felt.
Cut the "petals" out, leaving you with 6 petals.
Make groups of two.
You should be left with three big petals.
Sew each petal together and you should be left with something some like a beret.
Cut a strip of felt out of the 3rd piece of felt and fold it on to the perimeter of the beret.
When you are done with that you are done with the beret!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Depending on your sewing machine, your machine might have different accesories or maybe they are just in a different part of the machine. First, let's start by the top. There are two things that you can do at the VERY top. You can thread a spool, or you can begging the the sewing process. Right under that there should be a circle, wheel-like, to control the size and pattern of the stitches. Under that, on the right hand side, if you look at it from the front, sholuld be another wheel-like thing which controls the needle. The needle is under the wheel that controls it, surrounded by a light, a needle threader and the spool container, and about at the same height there is either a button or a switch that will allow you to sew in reverse. In some cases the spool container is under the needle area where my machine has a container for spools, threads, accesories and more. Just remember that each machine might have a different some of the desriptions that I gave you might be wrong for you. Some sewing machines have screens on them which means that instead of having all these wheel like things for the thread design. A lot of information you might find in your instructions that will be more detailed about YOUR machine. And if you have the same machine as me… twinsies!
I really hope that this helped you all and please leave a comment.
And don't forget… life is sew PKPINK

If you are a starter you might know one or two things about sewing or you might know nothing about it. When sewing, there are many kinds of stitches, needles and threads. Depending on the fabric, you will need to use a different kind of stitch. Some stitches are:
– running stitch ————–
– hemming stitch ////////////////
– back stitch / \ / \ / \ / \ / \ / \ / \ / \
– overhand stitch '''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''
There are two ways in which you could do these stitches. You can hand stitch and you can machine stitch. Hand stitching will possibly be the most time consuming, but the sewing machine needs to be mastered first and you have to practice like any other thing.
If the material you are working on is very "stringy" it will be harder to work with because it might get in the way of the sewing and it might fall apart easily too. So you might want to use something like felt when you are starting off. Start easy and don't stress yourself as soon as you start.
So just remember practice and know that life is sew PKPINK
